Abstract

Technological innovation has significantly influenced the development of modern financial systems. Financial Technology, commonly referred to as Fin-Tech, represents the use of advanced digital technologies to deliver financial services in a faster, more efficient, and accessible manner. In India, the rapid spread of internet connectivity, smartphones, and supportive government initiatives has encouraged the growth of Fin-Tech companies and digital financial platforms. This research paper examines how Fin-Tech has contributed to the transformation of financial services in India. It focuses on key areas such as digital payments, online lending, investment platforms, insurance technology, and financial inclusion. The study relies on secondary data gathered from research publications, government reports, and financial industry sources. The findings suggest that Fin-Tech innovations have simplified financial transactions, expanded access to financial services, and enhanced customer convenience. Digital payment systems such as UPI and mobile wallets have significantly reduced the reliance on cash-based transactions. At the same time, Fin-Tech platforms have created new opportunities for individuals and small businesses to access credit and investment services. Despite these benefits, issues such as cybersecurity risks, regulatory challenges, and limited digital awareness continue to present obstacles.
