Healthcare is one of fundamental human right and a crucial component of societal development. It is a sector that has received significant attention due to its impact on the well-being of individuals and communities. (WHO 2008). In Nigeria, like many developing countries, access to quality medical care remains a major challenge, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Numerous issues confront Nigeria's healthcare system, such as poor infrastructure, a lack of medical experts, and differences in access to high- quality care between public and private healthcare facilities. (Onyeka & Onyeka, 2015). In general, healthcare professionals want their patients to feel happy when they get their medical issues resolved. (Hachem et al 2014). Medical professionals always want their patients to feel happy after receiving care (Hachem et al 2014). Public hospitals often face challenges in meeting patient expectations, they are also valued for their accessibility and affordability (Rashid & Jusoff, 2021). The aim of this study is to compare public and private Hospital in terms of service quality and patient satisfaction in Zaria local Government area kaduna state Nigeria.
