Abstract

The Banking industry is known for its fast-paced, high–pressure environment, which can lead to significant work-related stress for employees. Factors such as long work hours, tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and complex customer interactions can all contribute to elevated stress levels. Additionally, the constant need to adapt to changes in regulations, technology, and, market conditions adds to the challenges faced by banking professionals. Studies have shown that work stress can have a profound impact on the physical and mental well-being of employees, leading to issues such as burnout, anxiety, and depression. This, in turn negatively affects job satisfaction, employee engagement, and overall performance within the organization. The paper aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of work stress and its effects on job satisfaction and employee performance within the banking industry.
