Abstract

Visible Intelligence for Designing Smart Transparent and Adaptive AI- Driven User Interfaces

Objectives:
1. To demystify AI-driven interfaces by transforming opaque “black box” systems into
transparent, explainable, and user-understandable experiences.
2. To establish the See–Understand–Control framework as a practical design foundation for
building trustworthy, ethical, and human-centered AI products.
3. To equip designers, product managers, and engineers with actionable UI/UX patterns that
make AI reasoning, uncertainty, and decision logic visible to users.
4. To empower users with agency and control by designing interfaces that support correction,
feedback, override, and meaningful human-in-the-loop interaction.
5. To guide organizations toward responsible AI adoption by aligning business value, usability,
and ethical accountability in real-world AI systems.
